Frequently Asked Questions

I ordered a circlet but it doesn't quite fit my head. How do I make it fit?

Your circlet is designed to be bent and formed to your head. I’ve made a little tutorial video to show you how it’s done.

I stand behind the craftsmanship and durability of every piece I create. I design them carefully with longevity in mind, and I hand-assemble them to last decades. Thus, I am proud to offer a 15-year limited warranty to give you peace of mind.

What This Warranty Covers:

  • Structural integrity of the piece, including clasps, and fastenings.
  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
  • Replacement of lost or detached stones, beads, or crystals under normal use.
  • Repairs or replacements, at my discretion, for issues arising from covered defects.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, plating loss, or tarnishing.
  • Breakage, damage, or loss caused by accident, misuse, or neglect.
  • Alterations or repairs performed by anyone other than The Crystal Smyth.
  • Replacement of lost or detached stones, beads, or crystals due to accidental damage.

Care & Maintenance:
To keep your piece in the best condition, I recommend gentle handling, avoiding submerging your piece in water, spraying it with excessive perfume, or any harsh chemicals, and storing it in a soft pouch or box when not in use. Following these guidelines will help extend the life of your pieces and preserve your warranty.

How to Make a Warranty Claim:
If you experience an issue with your piece, please contact me at Hello@CrystalSmyth.com with your contact information, photos of your piece, and a description of the issue. I’ll review your claim and arrange for repair, replacement, or other resolution. The customer is responsible for shipping the item back; return shipping of repaired/replaced items will be covered by me.

Duration:
This warranty is valid for fifteen (15) years from the original date of purchase.

My Commitment:
My jewels are more than ornaments – they are relics meant to be cherished and designed to be used. This warranty is my promise that your treasure will endure alongside your story.

Unless otherwise specified, all of my pieces are made-to-order. Therefore, I cannot accept returns, even if the pieces have not been used.

If, however, a piece has broken in transit or is defective, please email Hello@CrystalSmyth.com so that I can arrange a repair or replacement.

The process of creating my pieces is complex, yet ensures the finest quality, durability and allows maximum customization.

Each design begins as a concept sketch, which I turn into a CAD drawing. I then laser cut the Lucite and metals required to produce the piece in house.

The cut parts are hand-assembled, polished, and the crystals are set. After a further polishing step, the piece is ready to be shipped to its new owner.

I work in a wide range of exotic woods, metals and plastics. Much of my jewelry is created in Lucite backed with a vacuum-metalized mirror and sealed with a scratch-resistant coating. The end result is as reflective as a glass mirror, whilst being shatter-resistant and half the weight of glass, yet 17 times stronger.

Metals are used to create the bases of crowns and scepters. I mostly work in aluminum, stainless steel and gold-plated brass.

90% of each design is made of custom parts cut and assembled in my Denver, Colorado studio. Unless otherwise specified, the crystals you see in my work are top quality Czech or Austrian crystal.
